Desmond Prisk Architects Limited is a Timaru based design practice established in 2000 with Desmond Prisk as Principal.
Desmond is a Registered Architect and the practice is an NZIA Practice.
We are a small architecture studio that provides a personal and collaborative approach to all our design projects.
We specialise in new residential design, but our work also includes a solid portfolio of small to medium sized commercial projects, educational and institutional facilities as well as house additions and alterations.
The practice has played an active role in the re-build following the Canterbury earthquakes and we are well versed in the challenges of designing in that environment.
All our work is creatively tailored to our client’s needs as we unlock the potential their specific design brief and site offer.
Desmond Prisk Architects has developed relationships with a team of allied design professionals to ensure that the “best for project” outputs are achieved with all parties involved and to maximize project efficiencies. We are about getting on with people to obtain good outcomes for everyone involved.
The practice has worked closely with Landscape Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers of various disciplines, Planners and Acousticians on a wide range of projects to utilize the diverse working knowledge of the team members to deliver all projects to the highest possible standard.
We build our relationships on a foundation of openness in communication while using a collaborative approach to work together to achieve project goals.
As a team we have experience in all aspects of architecture from preliminary design through to contract administration and project management.
While we bring our own style and ideas to a project, we always listen to our clients.
